Climbing, jumping, and napping up high are not just your kitty’s random feel-good behaviour, their need to be up high is instinctual. Cats are tree-climbing mammals.

Early cats were hunters and many of them lived in the rain forests. Their claws enabled them to climb skilfully, escaping into trees for safety or climbing to lie in wait for prey.

Nowadays, cats who live indoors are safer than their outside cousins, but they often become bored and gain weight. There are however ways to avoid it. Vertical territory with perches at different heights inspires cats to jump, climb and leap and then to ideally rest up high so they can keep a watchful eye on their human companions and survey their kingdom from a high vantage point.

Our CHILL DeLUXE cat shelves give the cat a better vantage point. From that location, the cat can survey his 'realm' and be more aware of activities of people and other pets. If a cat is anxious or afraid, it may get him farther away from the cause of his anxieties (e.g.; pesky dog or small children).

Bigger than our standard CHILL shelf, the DeLUXE version is truly the cat’s whiskers when it comes to feline beds!  Find a warm and cosy spot in your home to site the shelf and as the heat rises, their soft and inviting cushion will become the cosy place to be when they want to recline and lounge.   

A pad is detachable and washable. It is attached to the shelf by press studs so it will not slide off if the cat jumps on it.

Wall mount screws are not included.

Different types of walls require different types of fixings. Use screws and bolts that are suitable for the walls in your home. 

Heavy-duty hidden brackets measure 16” apart so they can easily mounted into wall studs or into a solid wall. Because they are totally concealed, it gives the CHILL DeLUXE shelf a classic floating design that fits with any type of interior décor, modern or traditional. The shelf IS READY TO HANG!
