Starfish is one of the offerings available in the Beasty Toys cat toy collection. The Beasty Toys range includes plush cat toys (mascots) for independent play: rat, kitten, sea animals, as well as exclusive cat accessories in the form of fishing rods (a stick with a string ending in a handmade felt mouse with catnip) for shared play. We write about the benefits of play (or, more precisely, the need for it) in the text below. Beasty Toys are designed to serve the health of both energetic, eager-to-move cats who feel the need to fulfil the 'movement tasks' dictated by their natural instinct, but also the slightly less mobile older or calmer cats. The toys are there for this, and we have it proven on many pets that our toys give this motivation of much needed movement for their health.

Why should a cat even play?
Fun
Starfish. Perhaps an unusual species when it comes to natural wild cat hunting, but... but cats don't seem to know that, because this shape definitely captivates our indoor cats!
Our toys motivate cats to play on their own, so we can go out of the house and leave the cat alone (with the starfish) without stressing about boredom for the animal or any associated damage. Play in a cat is not entertainment in itself.
Just as with dancing in humans, where in theory it is entertainment, but we know that it moves our whole body, we often feel every muscle afterwards, we feel every letter of the word 'fitness' with ourselves, so with cats, playing with any toy from our Beasty Toys collection, but also playing with other objects, is working the body, it is sport, it is taking care of health.
Of course, the cat does this instinctively. Let's remember that hunting for a beautiful catnip-filled starfish prevents our socks or key rings from being snatched. It also prevents the cat from hunting other animals if the cat is an outdoor animal. Instinct will be satisfied with the Beasty Toys from COSY AND DOZY.
The cat toy supports:
* the cat's motor development;
* sensory stimulation;
* satisfaction of the instinctive need to chew, scratch and rub.
* the development of hunting instincts.
The starfish will help us to direct the cat's instincts (hunting, locomotion) in such a way that the cat can live a healthy life and we can take care of the cat in peace and quiet, as well as our home and belongings (which will not be "hunting targets").
Handmade
COSY AND DOZY toys are upholstered in a strong, shatterproof yet tactile upholstery fabric. A cat instinctively wants to destroy a toy, so it would be a good idea for it not to succeed so quickly.
The fabric used by COSY AND DOZY, is highly resistant to what the cat does with it. It's not going to be easy for a cat to deal with such a starfish, which is a positive for them. Once upon a time, long ago, when instinct was produced, nothing came easily to a cat.
So, now that he has food tucked under his muzzle, at least let the starfish be a challenge. Inside the Beasty Toys cat accessories are buckwheat hulls and dried catnip leaves from organic farming, i.e. without harmful chemicals.
