Our super-comfy wall-mounted CHILL shelf was designed by experts and like minded cat lovers who had both the cats and the owners needs in mind. With its sleek designer look and curved wooden lounging surface which cradles your cat perfectly and complements any interior.
The shelf has sturdy and very stable metal supports, the colour of which you can choose. Because they are completely concealed, the shelf has a floating design. In fact, it can even lift a large cat without any trouble. Its maximum load is 20 kg.
The CHILL shelf is made of beech plywood, has been hand-sanded and painted in one of the available colours. In the case of the ECO version, ecological natural soap has been used instead of varnish, giving the shelf a natural feel and a more matt shade (compared to the MAPLE shelf).
The material of the mattress is a very durable upholstery fabric (100% polyester), which is resistant to cat's claws. The cushion is clipped to the shelf by means of naps. The cover can be easily removed and washed in the washing machine at 30° C.
The shelf requires no additional bolting and is suitable for wall hanging. Fischer Duopower pins included.
The shelf's minimalist design will make it look good and please the eye in any type of interior.

Why cats love COSY AND DOZY shelves?
Higher point of view
Climbing, jumping, and napping up high are not just your kitty’s random feel-good behaviour, their need to be up high is instinctual. Cats are tree-climbing mammals.
Early cats were hunters and many of them lived in the rain forests. Their claws enabled them to climb skilfully, escaping into trees for safety or climbing to lie in wait for prey.
Observation point
Nowadays, cats who live indoors are safer than their outside cousins, but they often become bored and gain weight. There are however ways to avoid it. Vertical territory with perches at different heights inspires cats to jump, climb and leap and then to ideally rest up high so they can keep a watchful eye on their human companions and survey their kingdom from a high vantage point.
Our CHILL cat shelves give the cat a better vantage point. From that location, the cat can survey his 'realm' and be more aware of activities of people and other pets. If a cat is anxious or afraid, it may get him farther away from the cause of his anxieties (e.g.; pesky dog or small children).
Comfort
Another crucial benefit is temperature. Because heat rises, the CHILL shelf can become a cosy place especially on cold winter days. Cats love to stretch out and lounge on it. They would appreciate it if you placed the shelf near household furniture so that it is easy for the kitty to climb or jump up on them.
Being up high allows cats to truly feel calm and in control. It’s what we call the perfect Chill zone.
